Mauser HSC Barrel Exchange
« on: February 03, 2018, 12:49:22 PM »
I have a Post War Mauser in .380. I would like to replace the barrel and shoot 32acp. I know that there are lock up issues with wartime barerel. Do all modern barrels have part of serial numbers on barrel lug to help distinguish?

Yes, they all have part of the serial number stamped on them.

Thanks, I understand. Do wartime barrels have the same shortened number, so I can distinguish?

Post war barrels have the caliber designation on the side. US imports with the FBM proof. Euro versions with the 1970s proof eagle.

Wartime barrels have a nazi eagle proof iirc.
