Does this appear to be a ligit Mauser?  I had not seen a Mauser like this before.  The auction house calls it a carbine.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello, NO, it is not a factory carbine. It is a pistol converted to a carbine in the 1980's.

Factory carbines for one, All have chamber areas considerably longer than a normal pistol.

Thank you for that good information.   The gun looked too new to me.  That makes perfect sence now.
