Commercial C96 pre WWI serial 53240 crown/u.
Right side marked with eagle over SU4.

Re-worked by Simson Ubrecht within the nazi era...?
Came to Norway during WWII.
The pistol is in great condition and it shoots like H...
Nice leather holster with original DWM loading clip

Anyone?

The pre-war commercial C96 were in the 7.63mm caliber.  What caliber is your as it has the WWI "Red Nine" wooden grips?  Was it converted from 7.63mm to 9mm caliber?

There are no problems which can not be solved by the application of high explosives, Teflon tape or WD-40 but not necessarily in that order.

To answer your question NO, your's is not the only one with the marking. I have seen several examples of it over the years.

Over time, I have owned two different 1920 reworks with fixed sights and red 9 grips in 9mm with the Su4 proof.
