Mauser 1914 manufacturing date and firing pin question
« on: February 14, 2016, 03:58:04 PM »
Hello forum,

I've got a Mauser 1914 with serial number 2233xx
Does anyone know when it was manufactured?
Unfortunately it came with a broken firing pin. During my research I found out that there seem to be at least 2 types of firing pins. Are these interchangeable? Mine got the same that is pictured within the 1934 parts overview. What is the story behind the different types of firing pins?

Many thanks in advance

As I stated on Still's luger forum, if you are asking for information it would be considerate to provide a complete serial number. Is there a reason why you did not?

A competent gunsmith should be able to re-point the firing pin.
