Vz. 24 questions
« on: April 16, 2017, 08:16:19 AM »

I have just picked up a 1927 marked Vz. 24 that has been re-barreled into .30-06
The seller could not provide any information on the parts used, nor the history of the original rifle.
I would like to know the manufacturer of the barrel and the bolt if possible.
The barrel has no markings other than the caliber, and the bolt is clean of all markings.
On a side question, how compatible are breakable bolt parts between 8mm and .30-06 rifles?
I would like to have some parts on hand.

The only marking I can seem to find is the vertical caliber marking on the top side of the barrel.

I am sorry, but if the markings are removed it is difficult to tell the origins of the parts in question.  The bolt could be a vz-24 bolt as they had straight handles and this one looks to have been heated and bent down.
