Please note that the same service is possible for:

HSc pistol in .32 caliber manufactured between 1968 and 1971. The production data on the first ca. 7000 pistols in .32 have survived. No data on .380 and post-1971 production has surfaced thusfar.

The one in the museum is post war.
There is also a post war cutaway on display at the military museum in Koblenz.

I actually own 2 cutaways. One postwar HSc and one Renato Gamba double stack cutaway. Both were made to special order for the manager of Mauser who collected cutaways at the time.

General Discussion / New book on Paul Mauser
« on: September 14, 2016, 04:12:11 PM »
Dear Fellow Collectors,
After more than 6 years of study of the Paul Mauser Private Archive and early Mauser Archive, we are happy to announce that the new reference book on Paul Mauser will be soon available.

The book is published by Brad Simpson Publishing and is printing now.

Attached you can find a brochure that introduces the new book; we are sure the book will provide new and unpublished information directly from the original sources.

Note also that the documentary “The Legacy of Paul Mauser” was filmed during the book’s research and will also be available.

Please have a look at the brochure and do not hesitate to ask any question.

Model 1914 Pistol / Re: "lunch box special" 1914 Mauser
« on: July 28, 2016, 06:17:27 AM »
I've seen enough funny stuff come out of Mauser, so an unnumbered, unproofed M1914 doesn't really surprise me.

These were also made as tool room examples, sales examples for use in advertisements and manuals, etc... But it also wouldn't surprise me if one of the Mauser workers built one for himself :)

Of course, one would need detailed photos to establish if the markings were removed or were never there.

I have an unnumbered HSc as a cutaway, as well as an unnumbered and unproofed Mauser Parabellum here.

Here is a later one. Again with a small leather pouch.

This was made by Kaufmann, with the K55K trademark.

WTP / Small presentation of a WTP1 with holster
« on: July 13, 2016, 07:42:23 AM »
Last month I found a nice little WTP1 holster to accompany the pistol I have had for a couple of years.

A nice match and an interesting military style WTP holster with a separate pouch which contained the cleaning rod.

Enjoy,
