General Discussion / Re: Where Are YOU?

70 years old and still collecting.
My collecting has slowed down from 10 - 15 yrs ago but I still like the old blued steel and wood German pistols.
Warbird has been a big help to me with my HSc collection especially with the KM production.

Thanks Warbird

Does anyone know where I can find one either the actual or online version.

It field strips like the wartime HSc's but looking for more info.

Date of manufacture?   s/n 101541

C96 / C12 Broomhandle / Re: Bolo Holster
« on: September 20, 2016, 04:23:05 PM »
Burgess,

Thanks for your response.
With this pistol being export marked I didn't know if both would be proper for this.
What should I be looking for in a original holster/stock. Are they numbered to the firearm?
Same thing for the leather holster. Were they maker marked?

Thanks,
Chuck

I have a post-war Mauser Bolo in the 595,000 range.
It has the German export mark.
What type of holster is proper for this pistol?

Thanks

I have a 1910 side latch  s/n 27058 with two side latch magazines and no holster.

What is the proper holster for this excellent little Mauser?

I believe Legacy, as an honorable vendor, has an inspection period with return policy.  Perhaps Duster decided to return the pistol for some reason.

Jim

My post was for info only.
Never had any interest in the pistol. You could tell it was refinished by just looking at the pictures.
You can see slight pitting under the finish.

General Discussion / C&R Shipping Question
« on: September 05, 2013, 02:56:27 AM »
I have a question about shipping C&R firearms.
Is it legal to ship 2 C&R pistols in the same shipping box?

He ships UPS and is concerned about selling 2 in the same week to the buyer.
I think that rule is for new firearms only.

When I talked to the ATF they told me to list it as NSN in my bound book for that transaction.
He said it was legal as firearms were not required to have s/n's until the passing of the GCA'68 like warbird said.
I have several cz's and P.38's without a s/n.

I have another question about shipping C&R firearms.
