Holster Forum / C96 holster Chinese?
« Last post by Shylock on February 05, 2024, 02:52:22 PM »
Can anyone identify this holster? It was a war relic sent from Luzon or possibly Yokahama post VJ Day. It appears to be similar to a 1916 Mauser C96 Imperial German Navy holster but some differences include the red star and the flap attachment. It came with a Japanese Nambu Type 94 with a 13.6 date code.

C96 / C12 Broomhandle / Reloading question
« Last post by 68coupe on January 30, 2024, 08:29:00 PM »
I've seen "Lee Precision Factory Crimp Die" for sale on various sites. Is it necessary or recommended to crimp the projectile when reloading? I crimp my .30-06, but is it good to do the 30 Mauser?

Thanx in advance, Karl

Spanish 1895 Rifle / Oviedo Spanish 1931

Brand new to this Forum; but I have a question for someone that knows way more than I about the rifle. I have a Fabrica de Arms Oviedo 1931. I only have the barreled action sans the bolt. My question is will a 98 Mauser bolt fit if properly head spaced? Any help would be appreciated.

"I have had two c96 barrels relined by redmondsrifling.com and was satisfied.  He usually has a long backlog and may not be taking in new work.  Cost was around $350"

Thank you. I found his website & he's not taking new work right now. Big notice in bold red font saying exactly that. I also did a little more research and found that I probably don't want anyone else for the job. I guess I'll wait.

Does anyone know of a reputable place to do a re-sleeve job on my nearly shot out 7.63X25 C96? Approximate price tag?

VR, thanks in advance, Karl, 68coupe

I'm located in North East Ohio, but I'd be willing to ship.

Thanks for the reply.
