Here is my latest acquisition a Mauser BYF 42 3532a that was assembled in late January 1943.  It has an early frame and slide with a dusty blue finish on the slide. The AEG 38/Z3 grips were supplied to Mauser by Walther and are stamped with 359 at this time, but Mauser started receiving AEG grips directly shortly there after.

Mauser P38 Pistol / French Mauser svw45 P.38 9364g
« on: December 18, 2014, 09:49:04 AM »
Here is a French post war Mauser serial number 9364g produce at Mauser during the French occupation for use by their police units and Indochina.  This gun did not have metal grips but AEG late war grips.  The Black Perlon (polyamide 6) grips have been noted too in these guns before the metal grips were used.  This gun also had a JVD magazine and no import stamps.  The gun is made of all German produced parts.  Whiting was originally in the slide stampings.  I have removed most of it but some still remains. There are no import marks.

Every now an then I shoot my HSc.  Well this time when I finished shooting I noticed the extractor, the extractor pin (front) The extractor spring and the the extractor pin rear at the safety end may also be missing but I can't really tell.  If any one has these parts that they are willing to sell I need them to put my HSc back in working order.

I forund and extractor and extractor spring on the Numerich website so all I need now id the Extractor plunger and the Safety detent plunger

Tom Heller had the Extractor and Safety Detent plungers so I'm set.

Model HSC Pistol / Can someone tell me the lack of factory codes on HSc"s
« on: February 10, 2014, 12:13:36 PM »
I have been wondering why Mauser left their logo on the HSc during the war when on P.38 and other arms the three letter code was used.  I would have expected BYF on the HSc instead of Mauser from 1940 or 1941 into 1945.  Was there some reason this was not changed on the HSc?  Warbird or anyone else, what's you thought on this.  I have seen Walther PP's with AC on them so why no BYF code on HSc's. I did'nt see this addressed in the the book on the HSc either.

I posted this in a other thread and go no response.

Model HSC Pistol / Need to replace magazine spring
« on: January 20, 2014, 08:54:37 AM »
Hello I have a weak spring in my 1941 HSc and want to replace the spring.  I have new springs coming from Wolff.  I have looked at the mags and it appears the current mag spring rests in a nich at the bottom plate. But I want to be right so if someone can help me I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Don

Model HSC Pistol / New to me a Mauser HSc
« on: December 30, 2013, 08:09:35 AM »
This is a  HSc i purchased from Scotty Benedict at Pre98.com.  It's a second variation blued with E/655 and E/N stamps and E/N on the right side of the slide the seems to be a little fuzzy. it's the same Eagle/N that is on the trigger guard.  I noticed this when I looking at it under higher magnification.

The HSC also has the Mauser Banner on the base of the bottom plate of the magazine.  The serial number is 734970.  The last three digits of the serial no. are electro penciled on the inside of the front of the slide and and in front of the chamber on the barrel, all matching.  The sight channel is checkered also.
