Title: 1910 British proofed.
Post by: pardt on June 15, 2017, 09:48:01 PM
Saw this 1910 on gunbroker, it has what I presume to be British proofs on the barrel. it is cool to me as I don't see many of these pistols that are British proofed.

It looks a little different that the ones I have seen with British proofs. Perhaps some other countries proofs?

You could be right about it not being British. It's intriguing but a little to expensive opening bid for me to buy it just for that marking.

Could you give a link?  Are there other pictures at the listing?

It is British. The 'hand with sword' is the London proof marking. You don't see these on German guns that much. Most of them went through the Birmingham proof house for some reason.
