Title: Mauser 1891 with crest.
Post by: jnsc60 on August 16, 2015, 11:13:57 AM
I have a Mauser Modelo Argentino 1891 7.65MM, with matching numbers on stock, magazine, and receiver/barrel. Serial number is T1157. I'm not sure of the condition of the bore. The stock seems to be in good condition, however the bluing on the barrel is in fair condition. The crest has NOT been removed and is still visible. What does this serial number tell us about this gun, and what do you guys think the estimated value would be? Thanks in advance for your help!

I have one like yours.  I paid $25 for mine.  Mine has had the stock cut off and the barrel shortened.  I have no idea, why someone would do that.  I had to recrown the barrel to get it to shot.  Those actions are very nice.  Wish I could help you on value.  Mine was a bargain, but required work.
