Model 1934 Pistol / Re: Mauser 1934 firing pin not disengaging trigger bar
« Last post by icollect2 on February 14, 2024, 11:01:11 AM »
Apologies for bumping an old thread for my first post. I believe that I can share information related to the original issue. An internet search brought me here and the info in this thread helped solve my problem and I hope to play it forward with a slightly different solution to a similar problem.

I had the same issue, took firearm apart to clean ( whether to clean 100 years of gunk/history whatever is a topic for a different thread) When I got it back together it would just click upon trigger pull, striker wouldn't release.

Well solved it with the help of this thread, turns out I had not fully seated the magazine catch which left the magazine a bit loose once inserted and just loose enough so that the disconnector wouldn't engage, pushing the magazine catch all the way in solved the issue!

Thanks for all the information and wisdom shared in this thread and on this wonderful site! The internet is not ALL all lies and mean people. I have solved many prior issues with other firearms with the help of the internet, what a great resource!

also and sorry for using up all my internet karma in one post but would someone have approximate manufacturing date for 6.35 cal 1910 sn 249XXXX I'm thinking 1923/24?

Thank you and have a nice day!

Holster Forum / C96 holster Chinese?
« Last post by Shylock on February 05, 2024, 02:52:22 PM »
Can anyone identify this holster? It was a war relic sent from Luzon or possibly Yokahama post VJ Day. It appears to be similar to a 1916 Mauser C96 Imperial German Navy holster but some differences include the red star and the flap attachment. It came with a Japanese Nambu Type 94 with a 13.6 date code.

C96 / C12 Broomhandle / Reloading question
« Last post by 68coupe on January 30, 2024, 08:29:00 PM »
I've seen "Lee Precision Factory Crimp Die" for sale on various sites. Is it necessary or recommended to crimp the projectile when reloading? I crimp my .30-06, but is it good to do the 30 Mauser?

Thanx in advance, Karl

Spanish 1895 Rifle / Oviedo Spanish 1931
« Last post by ga.swatcop on January 21, 2024, 02:44:37 PM »
Brand new to this Forum; but I have a question for someone that knows way more than I about the rifle. I have a Fabrica de Arms Oviedo 1931. I only have the barreled action sans the bolt. My question is will a 98 Mauser bolt fit if properly head spaced? Any help would be appreciated.

C96 / C12 Broomhandle / Re: Resleeving/relining C96 barrel

"I have had two c96 barrels relined by redmondsrifling.com and was satisfied.  He usually has a long backlog and may not be taking in new work.  Cost was around $350"

Thank you. I found his website & he's not taking new work right now. Big notice in bold red font saying exactly that. I also did a little more research and found that I probably don't want anyone else for the job. I guess I'll wait.
