Title: Uniform Question, United States Army Air Corps
Post by: jcorl on November 17, 2016, 03:18:30 PM
Can anyone tell me what the triangle and bar on lower right sleeve represents?  OK guys.  I just did some research.  I cannot find the answer to that question anywhere?

Jim,
I can't make out the detail of the triangular patch.  These are trade or specialty insignia.  They are blue with a yellow/gold symbol...camera, weather vane, bomb (I think).  I don't have a good source for them at hand but these are what I have run into while collecting.  I'm not finding the bar you mention...left sleeve may show a ~1.5 inch "bar" for each 6 months service overseas.  Hope that helps.

It is a black bar located at the bottom of the green triangle patch.  Dad was there at Epswitch for 4 years( 1941 to 1945), so I cannot figure it out.  Thanks for the reply.  That was kind of you.
