Alan, do you think these February-production pieces were actually delivered, or were they in the plant when it was captured?

My "F" was taken by a US Army Corporal from New York from a city police officer in Schweinfurt, Germany.  He told me the story of his last days in the war and the capture history of this pistol.  He had to sell the gun as he was entering an assisted living facility and his family was not interested in getting it registered in New York State.  I have lived in New York.  That registration process is a little bit of a pain.  I am sure these "F"s were issued.

Very good, Jim.  I agree with your analysis.  March production probably did not make it to the field though.  That would include the last Police pistols 948790 and 949192.  The French occupied Mauser Werke on April 19th.
