Unusual Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken Berlin Brass Plaque, what is it?

Found this in a the corner of a poorly lit case at a LGS, probably looked in that case a hundred times before and never saw it. I know the old owner used to be heavy into Mauser Broomhandles and similar items a long time ago.


Any idea what it's off of, and what the # 277 relates to?

DWM also made machines and heavy equipment, including railroad material.


This looks like a label from a DWM made machine.
