vlim:
Took some shots of the M1930.

It has been in the display case for a couple of years now, time to let it see some light.

geert45:
A very nice Mauser Gerben.

Vilm,

It is a very nice late example. Unless I am mistaken isn't the stock for an earlier variation?

vlim:
Its an M30 stock, but the Mauser banner is very faint. The stock iron has been replaced at some time.

The serial number  is not far from known Dutch East Indies variations, so it may have been a KNIL example.

1914mauser:
I stand corrected. It is a very nice example. It seems most of these went to China and were used hard. Many were later exported from China to the US where they were refurbished. There are some that were apparently imported from Germany in the 30s and some of those were well kept and in close to or pristine condition today. The hot salt blue finish on a pristine example is something to behold. I have always been fascinated by the C96. Many have told me they think it is an ugly pistol, I only see the beauty of it.

Regards,
