Firearms International MusketeerII/.243 FN Action
« on: March 18, 2021, 07:53:10 AM »
Howdy Friends
I just purchased a Firearms International Musketeer II. It has a Belgian FN action and the rifle is chambered in .243. Does anyone
own one or have any facts or details that they could share about the brand, and specifically any specs about the parts and pieces that make up this gun. It is in excellent original condition, and features a nice walnut monte carlo stock with nice forearm and grip checkering. It has both factory sling swivels. It has the original Williams "Guide" adjustable sights, and was factory taped for scope mount. I am not sure who the barrel was made by. Obviously the action is FN. I have found advertising from F.I and based on that, I guesstimate it was made sometime around 1963. According to the ad, it also features a Sako adjustable trigger. Firearms International is a somewhat obscure company and little info. is available out there other than several magazine print ads from the 50's and 60's. I would love to locate a " Firearms International - Luminar" scope for this rifle, which was offered in a seperate package. The scope rings were unique, in that they were elevated to allow use of the iron sights. I would really like to know who the barrel maker was! Thank you my friends...Hope you can help!
