Mauser HSc .380
« on: August 02, 2021, 06:05:37 PM »
Hello I am new here and happy to be here.  I recently purchased a Mauser .380 pistol imported by Interarms.  It is blued and has wood grips.  The serial # 01. 130XX.  I was wondering when it was manufactured.  I took it to the range today and fired 50 rounds.  The first two magazines fired well.  They both have the little finger rests on them  The flat bottomed magazine had to FTF.  I have never fired one before and was a bit surprised at the felt recoil but it was manageable.  I think, maybe I need to replace the springs but am not sure  any help would be appreciated

It was made in 1970.

The .380 round is a bit too much for the pistol design. They worked better in .32. So the noticable recoil is part of the package.

I guess it shot pretty well fora51 year old pistol. It’s in very good shape too.
