Finish Question On C96
« on: January 07, 2022, 07:34:30 AM »
I am looking to purchase a wartime commercial C96 with a Prussian acceptance mark.  What are the thoughts on the finish, is it original or reblued?  It is all-matching except for the grips which is off by one number.  Any other comments or observations will be appreciated; this will be my first Broomhandle!

DeCeCo, In my opinion the finish on the pictured example is original and correct. It appears to be a decent example. Regards

Thanks 1914mauser!  Does the Prussian acceptance carry any significance regarding value?  It would be interesting to know how many 7.63 versions of these were processed.
