Marking on a 1914?

Hope someone can help me - i said i want to buy this rig because of this info:
Mauser 1914 serial 27xxxx with holster and mag with the same serialnumber.


Marking on front grip strap: S.Br.I. 211
Anybode who knows who this gun is issued to?


After paperwork i will post some pics...

Sorry, lost it - the gun got deactivated and returned to its family - i am wery sorry and sad...

Gebirg: For those of us in the USA, could you explain "deactivated"?  I'm pretty sure I understand, but most gun owners in my country do not have a clue what they might be facing.
