Warbird,
You know alot about these 1910's and I'm just a neophyte but taking these pistols apaart is fascinating to me.I'd like to know what the numbers are under the grips on the frame.Seem to have nothing to do with the serial number, and are often different fonts, are they inspector marks? Thank you..

Warbird is more of an HSC guy. Would you be interested in what I can provide? If yes, please describe the location of the frame number you are refering to and provide a detailed description of the example you are asking about. Please start with the complete serial number.

Bob,
I have seen also a number at the frame, not the serial, at my Mauser 1910/14 when I removed the magazine catch once. This evening, when I have time I will check it again and let you know the whole number, possible you know what it means.
Regards,
Geert
