Is this a legitimate HSc magazine?

Yes it is but for a 1968 to 1977 New Model HSc.  This four-hole design was the last Magazine sold by Mauser.  You might be interested to know that these were produced in The Netherlands by Metaalwarenfabriek Tilburg and sized to allow both the 7.65mm (.32 ACP) and 9mm kurz (.380 ACP) cartridges to fit.

OK, I understand now - and thanks for the extra info.
I was thinking WW2 era mag - which would not be legit.
The description does plainly state "post war" - I just didn't read it carefully enough.
