New owner of two mausers

Dos_and_donts:
My husband and I have recently adopted two mausers that belonged to my late father in law.  Mine is a Ouieda Mauser 7×57 model 93 bearing a three digit serial number - is this possible? My husband has a Czech BRNO Mauser 8mm cz24.  This was used by the FIL as a hunting rifle.  In his paperwork regarding this particular gun he wrote 'the finest military bolt action rifle ever made' which I would love to somehow engrave on the gun itself (I know, maybe not the best idea but I thought it was a good tribute to him)

What I am interested in knowing what both of these guns would have to be complete? I'm interested in knowing anything anyone has - they aren't going anywhere, they have more sentimental value than anything.  As you can tell, I have a very basic gun knowledge...please be patient!
