Oklahoma Mauser
« on: June 10, 2015, 05:03:55 PM »
I will try to ID the serial number of this Mauser example.  Looks like a fellow down the road has it For Sale.  I am not well versed in this model.   I did have a collection of .25 calibers at one time.  Would like to have at least one back in my collection.  Any comments would be appreciated. I realize the gentleman does not take the best quality of photos.

It look like a very decent example of a 1910/14 new model. These were made pre and post WWI as it is believed that production stopped briefly during the war which caused a gap in the serial number range. IMO value is around $350 for an example in this condition. It is a common variation.

Thank you so much for that valuable  information.  He is asking $400 for it, which makes me walk away if it is  a common variation.  Your input helped me make up my mind.
