I think it's a repro.  In searching for a genuine firing pin, I discovered a website that had a lot of Mauser parts.  After researching, found out he's only about 10 miles from me so I'm going over to his place (he loves Mausers) & I think he can help me resolve it.  Real lucky.  I appreciate all your help--will let you know how it turns out.  I love the gun & think I'll love it even more when it actually shoots.

I would do $55 for it including shipping and if it doesn't work and if you want to return it and if you haven't tried to modify it   send it back and I will return your money minus the shipping costs

Thank you.  That's very reasonable.  He has it now & I told him I had access to a genuine 1914 firing pin if it needs it.
