Post war version diagram for those who may need it. The first two images are from the owners manual and include several errors. Yes, hard to believe but those German fellows made an occasional mistake.

The last image includes annotations to correct the mistakes.

Your Note #1 is not entirely correct.  Part #8 could be called "Magazine Ejector/Safety" since it serves a dual function of pushing the Magazine (ejecting) out of the Magazine Well slightly when the Magazine Latch is moved rearward as well as holding the Slide open until a Magazine is fully inserted (safety).

You are right, of course, and thank you for that reminder. The mag safety feature was more dominant in my mind and so it got top billing. Your further clarification/correction is better so I revised Note 1 with your wording.
