Questions for the Board
« on: May 06, 2015, 01:21:29 PM »
I am negotiating for a 70's era HSC in 7.65 and I have some questions for the members of this board.  I hope you can help me out.
1. Is there a good source for aftermarket magazines?  I have seen the Triple-K mags advertised, but my experience with that brand has been a little spotty.
2. The wood grips on this pistol are in exceptional shape.  What product--if any--do you use to keep the grips looking good?
3. Can the finger extension be removed from the magazine?

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

Welcome to MauserGuns, plarry!  I'll try to answer your questions in order:

1.  Magazines for a New Model (1967 to 1977) HSc can be found on both eBay and GunBroker.Com.  Here's a pair currently open for bidding on eBay starting at $75:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mauser-HSC-OEM-NEW-magazine-7-65mm-32ACP-German-post-war-7-round-/221762676923?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33a215e8bb.  On either site type "Mauser HSc" in the Search box.  By the way, New Model Magazines are made to fit both .32 (7.65mm) and .380 (9mmK) calibers.

2.  Grips will maintain their luster without any help from you.

3.  The plastic Finger Extension is molded onto the Magazine Floorplate which can be removed as a unit.  Of course, you will have to replace the Floorplate.

Hope that helps.  Anything else, let me know.

Triple K Grips for 1943 HSC...Bad
« Reply #3 on: January 29, 2016, 03:00:26 PM »
Not wanting to abuse my stock wooden grips. I got a set of triple-k brand grips through midway USA. I must warn everyone these have to be the worst replica you can buy. Does not even come close to fitting without major Drilling, sanding or counter sinking the screw hole. The finish was also extremely poor.  I called Triple K and they said to return it   to Midway and look elsewhere for grips.  :-\   Any suggestions as to where to look for Grips that will fit without major work?

eBay has quite a few listed for around $30.  Here's the website:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sop=1&_sacat=0&_nkw=mauser+hsc&rt=nc&_dmd=2
Hope that helps.

You could always try the grips from Grips for you.
