Black Plastic Grips
« on: June 18, 2016, 05:21:31 PM »
Question for Warbird:  Were any WW2 HSc pistols made with original black plastic grips?  Occasionally I will see one for sale with such grips and I never know if they are original or replacement grips.  Thanks

Literally thousands of HSc's were produced with black "plastic" Grips from 1941 onwards.  They were made for Mauser by Presswerke, A.G., in Essen, Germany and embossed on the back of the Grips with the Manufacturer's Code "ejo".  The backs were also embossed with a stylized "MPD" and "S" which was the logo and approval symbol for the State Materials Testing Office in Berlin.
