1910 6.5
« on: December 30, 2016, 05:25:48 PM »
I have received from my fathers estate a 6.35 serial # 251486, it belonged to my Grandfather (Canadian) and I understand he got it during WW! but from my info this serial # was produced after WW1 he did remain in Russia until June 1919 fighting the Red Russian. Can anyone please confirm the build date of this unit.

Hi Bruce and welcome to the forum,

A .25 caliber/6.35 mm Mauser pocket pistol with the serial number you provided would have been made in 1923.

thks for your reply, now I guess he must of got it here in Canada. Looks to be in good condition I will have a Gunsmith review it and take it to the range. Had to do a lot of red tape here to get it, but sure I will enjoy it. Thks again this forum is a very interesting read.

regards
