HSc Grips
« on: April 30, 2017, 10:09:56 AM »
I have seen a couple post about the original grips chipping or cracking while firing the pistol.  Out of curiosity, is this because of the age and the wood being dry or something else?  How common is this problem?  Is there a difference between the fit of post war vs. wartime grips?  Finally, if I want a set of grips to use when I shoot my HSc where is a good place to find some decent grips for that purpose?
As always, thanks for any and all input.

Probably age related.  I haven't noticed any difference in fit between Wartime and New Model HSc's.  For "shooting Grips" you want cheap so a pair of $15 to $20 plastics should do fine.  Try eBay:

Thank you once again Warbird.  This pistol is becoming an interesting journey.
