New Found Holster

Just located a holster that is odd for its age.  Suppose to fit the HSc, but I am not sold on that idea.  What has me interested or perplexed is the closure stud.  It does not appear to be metal or at least unpainted metal.  It appear to be BROWN.  Has anyone seen a holster example with a brown stud?
