This Mauser was listed on a public auction site and the auction is now over. I had not seen this combination of markings before, but was able to match them up to an early commercial 1914/1934 transitional variant from Pender's book. The grips seem more like a 1934, but I suppose could be correct. The gun was advertised as ". . . original commercial blue finish . . ." Wear seems to be in the right places, but one thing struck me as odd and unusual about it. I was not bidding on it, so interested to know the experts thoughts on it. Always trying to learn.
