C96 persian contract
« on: June 12, 2017, 01:26:16 PM »

Hello ! Sorry for my bad English but I do not speak this beautiful language

For fun, a C96 Persian contract discovered in France a short time ago. He is now mine. European granaries and cupboards are still full of surprises.

Welcome to the forum. Wow, very nice and matching stock too. Congratulations!
I'll have to keep my eye out for "granaries and cupboards" in the future.

Nice detail: the Persians bought the guns without stocks.
When Persia failed to pay for part of the batch, the remaining guns were sold to the German army, with stocks.

So your pistol is one of those that Persia did not pay for :)
