Broken trigger spring, reproduce grips and spare mag sources

(1/4) > >>

Tecolote:
I am trying to rehab my Eagle/L Hsc 897XXX. It has a broken trigger spring and the front part of the stock is chipped off. I also would like to get a good and proper spare magazine for it. The one with it is a blank floor plate with the half moon indent. Can anyone recommend sources for these? Also, what's the going price range for spare mags these days(I paid $65 for the gun back in 1973 :)

Thanks in advance.

Warbird:
Welcome to the forum Tecolote.  You can buy the Trigger Spring from Wolff's Gunsprings for $5.99.  https://www.gunsprings.com/MAUSER/HSc%20(EARLY%20MODELS)/cID1/mID40/dID171

You will have to watch eBay or GunBroker.Com for the Grips and/or Magazine but be warned ... it won't be cheap.  These are the two most expensive parts on an HSc.  You can expect to pay about $150 for the Grips and also for the correct Magazine.

Hope that helps.  Now that I have helped you it would be appropriate if you would share the complete serial number on your Police HSc.

Tecolote:
Thanks for the reply. Re the grips, I should have clearer. All I need is reproductions. The full serial is 897890 and barrel and slide have the last 3 digits and it does have the 3 lines on the slide.

What sort of holster did the police Hsc's come with?

Thanks again.

Warbird:
Thanks for sharing.  The eBay website would still be the place to look for reproductions.  You can see photos of the correct Holster here:

If you are interested, your Late Wartime HSc was produced in April 1944.

Question for you Telocote,

Does your current mag have a serial number on it?   It should not look factory applied.
