Title: C96 Lanyard Ring --- Desperately seeking one
Post by: ml09616 on June 03, 2021, 10:18:26 AM
Hi folks,
I have an 1899 Large Ring Transitional C96, with all matching numbers.Unfortunately it is missing the lanyard ring. I have tried to purchase one, but it turned out to be a glorified key ring, not a real lanyard ring.

I am looking to purchase either an original, or a good copy... I have searched everywhere but with no luck.

I am located in Australia, but I should imagine that posting this item would not be a problem, no matter what the source location was (maybe USA?)Any ideas where I can hunt one down to complete this magnificent firearm?

regards,
Mike

Hi Henry..  thanks for your reply. If it looks OK, I will certainly take it....  I have bought 2 previously, but they turned out to be glorified keyrings  :( :(

A pic would be great when you get it...

Again, thanks for your help

Mike

the ring came yesterday. it has a fine break in metal ring. with two pair of pliers you separate ,put in the slot at bottom of gun and then bend back in place. like i sid if you need it fine if not i will use it some day. hbucki@hotmail.com
