C96 / C12 Broomhandle / 1897 C96 Mauser Broomhandle flatside
« on: April 20, 2015, 06:29:29 PM »
I have a C96 Mauser Broomhandle flatbed with a serial number of 1750 and cannot find any reference to the pistol except that it was manufactured in 1897.  There are no visible cartouches or other writing to indicate what type of broom handle it is.

It does have a 50-1000 vernal sight and is a large ring hammer.  The grips have 17 grooves and are made of wood.  All the numbers match throughout the pistol and appears to have a six shot top load magazine and I would guess 7.63 mm.

But, this pistol has absolutely no markings at all.  None on the barrel, frame, receiver...well you get the drift.  I have examined this handgun completely and except for breaking down to examine the inside nothing shown on the exterior.

Can someone help me identify this Mauser, because I would like to sell it and want to make sure I describe and price it right.

Thank you
