I recently won a auction for consecutive # American eagle .380 American eagle hsc pistols. I picked them up the other day from my local ffl and I have to say I am pretty happy with them. They still have the cardboard sleeves, box, manual, factory test targets, even down to the original desiccant packet. They look like they have not been fired since they left the factory. Best part is even after adding in the shipping and ffl fees I only paid $900 for the pair which I think was a good deal.
I hope you all don't mind me gloating to much but I had to share.
I tried to attatch a couple photos but the file size was to large, I will have to play around with them and try and upload later

I can tell you how they applied the 'eagle'. It is identical to the eagle marking on the Mauser Parabellum pistols that were sold by Interarms. The eagle was applied by using a template, which was a negative image, printed on bitumen which stuck to a transfer paper. The transfer was applied to the pistol, the bitumen remained. Then, carefully, etching fluid was dabbed across the bitumen template. After enough depth was reached the slide was cleaned/neutralized and the bitumen remains removed, showing the eagle.

Vlim, that's some cool info on the application of the eagle. Learn something new everyday, or at least try to.
