Got this one! The sellers grandpa kept this Mauser in a paper box under the bed in his cabin. He had it there with a G date P.08 since wartime...
The seller kept the Luger, i got this one...

A nice Mauser, but I'm in doubt about the Safety catch release, it's looks that it not fit in the frame, see last picture.
I never seen a Mauser marked: Mauser-Werke A.G. Obendorf A.N with that kind of safety catch, normal they are flat and the buton in the middle.
This Safety catch release is mostly to see at het Mauser pistol marked: Mauser-Werke A.G. Obendorf A.N *** Patent.
Burgess Mason can tell you more about, as he's an expert of this kind of guns.

Both look very nice to me. I can't see the safety release on the KM example. When I enlarge the picture I get no scroll bar to move to the right. I assume that is the one geert is referring to.

It is hard to tell without seeing 2 side by side. I don't think it could be from a .25 caliber model. It still looks very nice to me.
