I have also started re-uploading images in some older posts.

Model HSC Pistol / Re: French Era HSc With Mismatch Barrel Question

Barrels were matched to the gun. So if the barrel is not matching, it is a later swap. Not uncommon, but not factory work.

Should be a 1970 pistol. But some spent a lot of time in storage, so the proof or shipping dates are not a good indication.  :-X

I have one in the same serial range with a 1977 proof year.

Could be one of the 1980s Chinese rebuilds.
Does it have a removeable magazine?

Will pick them up in a few weeks. They come from an older collection and will need some tlc, but the basis is not bad at all.

Pretty impressive. Thanks for sharing.

The Mauser 1910-14-34 pistols have been reported to be extremely accurate pistols, nice to see a well documented confirmation.

Mauser Lugers / Renato Gamba Mauser P.08
« on: June 17, 2020, 07:09:54 PM »
An example of the 150 to 200 contract P.08 pistols made by Mauser for their Italian reseller Renato Gamba in 1974.

The initial order was for 1,000 pistols in .30 luger with a 4" P08 barrel. Financial problems interfered and only a small part of the contract was fulfilled. Other pistols were dismantled for parts, while another group was reworked to Interarms specs and sold in the US.

Serial number range was RG0001 to RG1001.

That doesn't say anything.

Mauser made them in 6,35 and 7,65.

Then something is wrong.

Make sure you are not having a .25 caliber pistol or magazine.

The Model 1914 must accept regular .32 auto without any problems, if it doesn't, something is wrong.

Serial number is a tad low for the 1934 grips, the manual is dated May, 1936 (updated after typo).
