Title: WWII Mauser model 1914
Post by: dave lewis on December 15, 2016, 03:42:09 PM
Hello,

This is my first post on this site.  I have a Model 1914 ser. no 41674 pistol, clip, holster and war papers all in very good condition.  Brought back from Germany by my father after the war.  Was taken from a German Army Officer (LT).  I'm interested in selling it and wanted to get a rough idea of value and if there was anyone I could contact.  I live in Virginia.

Thanks,

Dave Lewis

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the forum. Your father may of brought it back from WWII but it was made at the beginning of WWI. If you want to sell it I would recommend GunBroker.com an on line auction site. If you will post some pictures here I can help you with an auction estimate. Please post pictures of the group as the holster and bring back paper will add value. Are you saying you have 2 magazines for it?

Regards,

B. Mason,

Thank you very much for the useful information.  I will check out the gunbroker site.  The pistol comes with one clip stored in the holster.  I'll attach a photo of the Mauser - thank you for the offer to show it to your contacts!

Many thanks,

Dave

For value I would place it in the $400-500 range for a auction estimate.
