New guy here.  I've recently acquired a few Mausers, so hope to learn a lot from y'all here!


1899 '91 Argentine Mauser in 7.65 - commercially sporterized in the US in the 50's/60's.


1935ish '95 Venezuelan Mauser Calvary carbine in 7mm.





Late 60's/early 70's Mauser HSc .380 imported to the states by Interarms, with WW2 .32 barrel that I swap.  Love the HSc in .32!  .380 isn't so bad, either...





Arriving this week, my first Turk Mauser in 8mm.

Model HSC Pistol / WW2 .32 acp barrel in Interarms 380 HSc

Hello, I just acquired this late 60's HSc.  Loving it so far!








Does anyone know the specific year?  The serial # is 01.17XXX


I found a .32 acp barrel on Gunbroker and had to see if it fit.  I've read both that it would and wouldn't work on the internet.


The two KelTecs that I shot with it performed flawlessly, as well.  They're my ccw. P32 .32acp and P3AT .380.  The Charter Arms .38 snubbies were great, too.




So far, I'm loving this thing.  I have a Wolff spring kit coming, but I'm not sure if I'll need it or not.




Next up, finding extra mags.




Next week I'll post a range report from the rifle end, shooting my 1899 '91 Argentine Mauser in 7.65, 1935ish '95 Venezuelan Calvary carbine in 7mm (man it's short!), and my in the mail Turkish Mauser in 8mm.  I can't wait, haven't fired any as of yet.




I'll take the HSc along to hang out with it's brethren.

Here it is with the old/new barrel.




Took it to the range today and ran 100 rounds of each .380 and .32 through it without a hitch - except for when I loaded a full magazine and then topped the magazine off, in either caliber.  That was interesting.


Running just the magazine capacity, I had 0 FTF and FTE.

Yes, you just need a .32acp barrel.  I've read on this site that the WW2 .32acp barrels won't work with the .380 post-war guns, but I just returned from the range today after proving mine working.  I'm about to post my range report.


But other than barrel, I was able to get 7 rounds .380 or 8 rounds .32acp in the same magazine using the same recoil spring, just swap the barrels, which I did at the bench at the range with my fingers.  I was skeptical...  but it worked perfectly.


Interesting enough, I did have FTF issues when I loaded 7 or 8, popped the magazine, and topped the magazine off.  Didn't matter the caliber, it FTF the first round and then worked fine after that.


But putting in a full magazine and shooting (without topping off) was 100% reliable today.  I probably shot 100 .380 and 100 .32, divided between the HSc w/ two barrels, and a KelTec P3AT .380 and a KelTec P32 .32 acp.


My gun is an Interarms US import from maybe '68 or so, serial # 01.17016.
