Title: To grease or not to grease?
Post by: Quincy on December 30, 2013, 03:01:45 PM
I would be interested in knowing if there is a consensus among forum members as to whether it is good practice to grease the slide and perhaps the sear of an HSc. I have read that greasing the sear of double action pistols improves their function. An interesting article about gun grease can be found at GrantCunningham.com - Library (http://www.grantcunningham.com/lubricants101.html)

Parts that roll get oil parts that rub against each other get grease.  I always put a little grease in my HSc slide rails but do nothing to the sear. I have never touched the sear in any of my hand guns
