Model HSC Pistol / 'Firing' Collectible HSc's

I wanted to get some short range 'point and shoot' experience with my old HSc's, but was concerned with the possibilities of damage and barrel wear. My solution to these problems was to buy a worn .32 barrel from a parted out HSc. A gunsmith resized the chamber to accept a Laser Lyte .380 laser cartridge (without its 'O' rings). The barrel now accepts neither .32 nor .380 cartridges and can be fitted into any of my HSc's which can be 'fired' anywhere/anytime without fear of wear or damage (or the expense of ammo).

Model HSC Pistol / To grease or not to grease?

I would be interested in knowing if there is a consensus among forum members as to whether it is good practice to grease the slide and perhaps the sear of an HSc. I have read that greasing the sear of double action pistols improves their function. An interesting article about gun grease can be found at GrantCunningham.com - Library

Is there any information about when the E/135 stamp was replaced by the E/WaA135 stamp?
Was this an abrupt change or was it phased in over a period of time?
Specifically is it possible to see just the E/135 stamp on an early 1945 HSC?

Model HSC Pistol / Sticky Trigger

This is my first post. I am wondering whether anyone has a solution to this problem? I have collected 5 wartime HSc's. All of them function perfectly except for 882762. This pistol has been inspected by a competent gunsmith who installed modern springs and pronounced it safe to fire. However, when the trigger is pulled it will not return spontaneously to its forward position - it must be gently pushed forward. There does not seem to be any binding along the trigger bar (which I have replaced in an unsuccessful attempt to fix the problem). I installed a new trigger spring today but the problem persists. I suspect that something else in the action needs to be tweaked, but I don't know where to start looking. The gunsmith says that it would cost too much for him to track down the problem and says to live with it. Has anyone experienced a similar problem or know of a solution?
