Model HSC Pistol / (1942) HSc Firing Pin
« on: December 10, 2017, 04:26:19 PM »

If anyone has a firing pin they would be willing to sell and ship to me, please let me know.

Also, would this fit into an early war .32acp model? https://jack-first-gun-parts.myshopify.com/collections/mauser-hsc-military-and-commercial-32-380-pistol/products/mauser-hsc-military-commercial-firing-pin-check-measurements-75-19

I've gone through two firing pins now  :'(

Just installed it myself! Glad to have my HSc functioning again.

I suppose I just need a better understanding of the schematics, especially the slide assembly. I will look online for a good schematic.

I am having a little trouble understanding these directions. Is there any way you could show me these parts with pictures?

Model HSC Pistol / Firing pin replacement (1942 HSc)

I recently received a new recoil spring from Wolff, and it also came with a new firing pin spring. I followed some instructions on how to remove the firing pin, but when I was working it out of it's position I snapped the striking end of the firing pin off. Upon fixing the firing pin (I can reattach the steel), does anyone have any advice on how to install these without bending or snapping them, like I have done on removal? Pictures is my unfortunate situation.

Got the spring from wolff and installed it myself like how you described and my HSc is back in perfect working order. Thanks so much for your help Warbird!

I recently got myself a WWI Wartime commercial C96 but it came without a stock. Is there anywhere online that anyone knows about where I can purchase an accurate reproduction stock, instead of those shoddy Chinese ones that need machining to be able to fit an actual C96? Thanks!

Yeah the hammer was cocked when I reinstalled the trigger bar. It's still not retaining any tension. The trigger spring end is just sliding across the frame. Pistol only works in single action mode now. May have to visit a gunsmith once I get my new wolff spring in, unless there is a guide somewhere on how to install these frustrating little guys.

Looks like you got it.  The long end of the Trigger Spring sits in a groove on the bottom of the Trigger Bar, nothing secures it but the Spring tension.  You can almost see that on the first photo in your Reply #1.  Then the Trigger Bar is put in place on the Trigger pin and over the Spring end.  Be sure the Hammer is cocked before you drop the rear end of the Trigger Bar in place.

I've tried putting the trigger bar over it (so the trigger spring sits in the groove on the underside of the trigger bar) and it only works in single action now.

Where do I go from here? Where do I secure it? Sorry for all these posts, it's just frustrating as all hell.

What is this spring sitting on so it retains tension? I don't get this at all.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to correctly place this trigger spring. Can someone tell me how, or show me a picture of how the trigger spring is supposed to correctly sit? Thanks!
