Right side marked with eagle over SU4.

The pre-war commercial C96 were in the 7.63mm caliber. What caliber is your as it has the WWI "Red Nine" wooden grips? Was it converted from 7.63mm to 9mm caliber?

To answer your question NO, your's is not the only one with the marking. I have seen several examples of it over the years.

Over time, I have owned two different 1920 reworks with fixed sights and red 9 grips in 9mm with the Su4 proof.
