Not enough words to describe my wonderful thoughts on that special example.

You are welcome.   That is an odd shaped cut out.  It must have played some utilitarian role; however, I have been reminded several times that standard issue was taken very seriously by the German command.  My guess is that it must be post war.  Still a great buy at any gunshow.  You must be a good negotiator.

P.S.  I can hardly find any HSc related items at the shows I attend.  I must be hanging out with the wrong crowd.

That is odd. I have not seen that before.   I like the price you paid.  Good for you!

I like the 32 caliber engraving.  It is a beauty.   Congratulation of the find.

I will make you a deal.  You find me a quality reproduction LGS set of grips and we will talk.  Original would be nice, but I know the chances of that happening.   (Zero)    I have seen quality repo LGS grips, but I don't know who is making them.

I like the way they are worn on the inside.  Not a scratch on the outside?

That baby looks sweet.  I like the right side slide free from clutter.  Congratulations on the purchase.

Model HSC Pistol / Re: About enlightened serial numbers...

Hi Fausto,

I am no expert, but my guess is "no".  The factory did not spend the time to embellish the serial numbers to my knowledge. Or proof stamps. Collectors in the years have done that.  I have a nice Navy that I want to clean out the yellow goo and see what is under it.  I am thinking a toothpick will do the trick.  Enjoy your example and we will see what others say about your question.

Wow,

The box is numbered to the pistol.  That is really special.   Congratulations.
