Thank you Kevin. The 1888 Commission rifle was purchased by Argentina and sent to Argentina as you mentioned and sold as a lot by auction to Peru, according to Webster in his book.. Following logic they could have been sold off later in the 1960s-70s when the [size=78%]big surplus selling was going on. USA was the natural buyer for collectors. So my real question[/size]
is what happened to them at this point and were they ever marked. Any records on what Peru did with them?
