Title: New Mauser HSc SN 863562 with Kriegsmarine Acceptance Stamp
Post by: Adamsano on May 15, 2021, 04:11:35 PM
I have recently acquired a Kriegsmarine Mauser HSc pistol manufactured in September/October 1943 with the Eagle over M III/8 acceptance stamp, serial number 863562. It is a fourth variation late wartime pistol. The book, “The Mauser HSc Pistol” by Alan D. Burnham and Peter H. Theodore, January 2015, has been a great resource to understand the development and history of the HSc.

I am a former submariner and the Kriegsmarine connection to this pistol and the probability it was on a German U-boat is of interest to me.

I was once very young and not aware of the potential consequences. However, I do not regret the experiences.

You have my respect swimming in those machines.  You asked about Warbird.  The only story that I can share with you is in war he flew big birds. I never got to ride in his version, but did manage to ride a door in 70.  Wished I had the honor of saluting him back then.
