Title: HSc 7.65mm Owners Manual
Post by: TimOD9857 on March 14, 2015, 07:55:23 PM
 Hello All,
Thank you very much for allowing me to join this group.
My first question, which I'm sure has never been asked before, where can a locate or download an owners manual for my HSc 7.65mm? I recently acquired one through an auction and am interested in funding out as much as possible about it. It was listed as a "modern" gun. The serial number is 788xxx. Does anyone know approximately when it was manufactured? It looks almost brand new, has wooden grips with the retaining screws about 1/2 way down.
well once again thank you so much for accepting me. As yet I do not know a lot about Mauser's but am very willing to learn.

    Respectfully.

Hi Tim,
Welcome to the forum. There is a chart in a thread that is a sticky of this forum where you can look up the date of manufacture but yours is a WWII pistol made in the 1940s. I don't know where you can download a manual but there are reproduction ones out there, I have one. Originals are very pricy. Read threads here to learn more. Warbird is an authority on HSCs and has a book out if you want the best reference available.

Regards,

Tim,

Do you have the ability to photo your example for "Warbird" and the rest of the forum members?  The complete serial numbers are important along with acceptance stamps located on the trigger guard help identify what you have and the value.  Magazine information is also interesting as some police examples had there mags serialized by the receiving authority.  Warbird's book covers this in great detail.   Enjoy your gun.
