Model HSC Pistol / Re: LGS HSC Commercial for sale
« on: April 02, 2016, 07:37:00 AM »
Tha Simpson description say it has a non matching slide and barrel.  I am assuming they are talking serial numbers. That is a stupid high price for a non matching gun even if it is an lgs version.

If you use vetted dealers like Legacy Collectables (Toms site) or Pre98 (Scotty Benedict) You will get what you pay for.  They also will guarantee guns are what they are supposed to be.  They also post many pictures at different angles too of each gun they have for sale.

For some reason the Karabiner cannot stabilize the bullet.  Copper fouling in the rifling or the rifle barrel is shot out, meaning the lans are too worn the stabilize the bullet.

Mauser P38 Pistol / Re: BYF43 p38 - Any info would be great
« on: February 27, 2016, 07:30:33 AM »
Rod you BYF43 was made at the Mauser plant in late May or early June of 1943. The magazine is for a Walther P.38 hence the WaA 359 stamped on it.  The correct magazine would be stamed with eagle over 135.  The holster with WaA 383 is an early police holster maker, this maker was only known to make holsters in 1941.

Hi there i looked at the magazine the OP has and i have never seen the Mauser Barrel logo on a late war magazine.  It is stamtped 90 degrees from the way it should be. In the wrong place too.  Someone modifird the base plate of that magazine.
